Located alongside the N1 national highway, the Kraaifontein Industrial area is among the most accessible areas for any means of transportation. It is a relatively small industrial node of approximately 440,000 square meters. The addition of Wynland Industrial Park more than doubled the geographical footprint.
The strategic location is one of the reasons for increased demand from large international companies along with the scarce availability of land. Future growth is another factor driving demand in the area. In 2015 listed logistics giant Value Logistics established the area as a future logistics growth node. German automobile manufacturer Mercedes Benz Truck division located here from Montague Gardens in a custom-built facility all facing onto the N1 highway, giving them massive brand exposure alongside a national highway.
Kraaifontein has limited availability for rentals as many of the properties are owned by the individual companies. Almost 50% of businesses are associated with truck body and trailer wholesale and trade along with parts and servicing.
